28 days left ...

I'll be in Nova Scotia in exactly four weeks!

Tonight I changed my schedule. Instead of taking Gods in Classical Myth, I'll be be taking PHIL 2103: Aesthetics. Although I do love Classical Art, and was looking forward to examining it in Gods in Classical Myth, I could not pass up the opportunity to take Aesthetics after reading the course description:

"In this introduction to aesthetics a number of philosophically important questions provoked by art will be addressed. The course will cover both classical and contemporary responses to these questions, and will focus on such issues as the definition of "art", the objectivity of claims about beauty and artistic worth, and the nature of the creative process."

This will the earliest class I've taken so far in college (it meets at 9:30AM), but I will now have Monday, Wednesday, and Friday afternoons free.

I'm getting very excited about going abroad, but am trying to soak up all my time at home too - I will only be in the United States for two and a half weeks between August 27th and May 23, 2008! I spent this past weekend in DC hanging out with pages and catching up with a couple of friends from AU. Although there is absolutely no doubt in my mind that coming home for this summer was the right decision, I know that part of me will always miss the district when I am away. I really do have Potomac Fever.
